We are bringing The Moving Wall here to be on display May 11 - 15, 2017. We are asking for your help in this endeavour. The goal we are asking for will not only help bring this symbol of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC to our area, but help with all the expenses that are incurred from now to the time the Moving Wall leaves our area, which includes site prep, handouts, rubbing paper, chalk or crayon, food and lodging for the Wall personnel, porta pots, volunteer tents, chairs, tables, opening program, closing ceremony and other items that may be needed. The moneys above our goal will go to pay for signs that need to be made for the Resolution from the State of Alabama that was made dedicating 12th Street from Meighan Blvd to I-59 as Vietnam Veteran Memorial Parkway and the bridge connecting Rainbow City and Southside as the Vietnam Veteran Honor Bridge. After these project goals are met, the remainder wil go into the Colonel Ola Lee Mize Scholarship Fund. This Fund is designed to go to a hard working student who would like to go to college, but may not have the same opportunities as someone that has received multiple scholarships. The Gadsden - Etowah Patriots Association is a 501(c)19 Non-Profit organization. We need your help to bring this monument here for the 3,000 Vietnam Veterans from Etowah County to find closure. Many of those men and women will never be able to travel to our Nations Capital to see the Real Wall and experience the Blessings in saying goodbye to those so represented. Monies received through this program will be utilized for this purpose and those listed. No individual member of the Wall Committee or the Gadsden-Etowah Patriots Association will monetarily benefit / receive money from the donations received. Thank you! Now help us get this Memorial here!
