My name is Ruta, I would like to share the current situation with my husband Dave. We have two boys Aidas, 25 and Simas, 19. Dave was diagnosed back in August, 2016 with stage 4, end stage, “Hypopharyngeal[RB1] cancer” or commonly known as throat cancer. So far Dave has been through several months of intense chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
A cancer that was considered terminal in the beginning of treatment, has shown signs of possibly being defeated. We are learning that within the next couple of months he may be on a path to a winnable battle. Since Dave has been out of work for several months, unfortunately medical and other related expenses have started to incur. We have hope that by communicating this story with our family, friends and strangers will provide others the opportunity to share their story with those who they love as well. Aidas and Simas hope their father’s very own struggle with cancer will help all of us have a better understanding of how precious our lives are.
We need help with our medical and other incurring expenses. We all want to share Dave’s story that supports treatments, faith and love. We believe there is hope to be cured from certain cancers that used to be terminal. David has a passion to share his story with anyone who wants to listen because he plans to go back to work living a fulfilling life that makes the most sense to him. The kids and I love David from the very bottom of our hearts and we do believe that each dollar counts towards this cause.
