Reddick’s Story
To the friends of Reddick Bibbs thank you for reading this message. On September 3rd 2017 Reddick suffered a stroke which has led to a challenge which will leave him a long road to recovery. He is now at the VA Hospital building 7 trauma and PT center in Palo Alto, CA. He will need to undergo substantial physical therapy. Though he does have considerable use of his extremities he has unfortunately experienced significant cognitive deficit and at times some confusion. He is in decent spirits most days, but as you may imagine some days are better than others. Reddick loves to laugh and is jovial and really loves his family, friends and clients. He really loved to help people wherever and whenever he could. Now he will need help. Your thoughts prayers for a speedy recovery are appreciated. He will be able to accept visitors in the near future which will aid in his recovery. If you would like, please submit any notes to Reddick that I will pass on to him to let him know you are thinking of him. If you are so inclined, you can also help him in a tangible way with financial assistance to help towards the costs associated with his ongoing medical needs and financial responsibilities. He will no longer be able to work. The extent of his medical and personal finances is limited to the VA (which takes time to obtain eligibility of benefits) and the income from his part time job at the Stanford Golf Course, clients and odd jobs. As Reddick continues, and progresses on his journey. I commit to keep you updated on the status of his recovery periodically. Thank you in advance for your positive thoughts and prayers and whatever is put on your heart to help Reddick move through these challenging times.
