HTHMA Class of 2017 College Trip
Donation protected
All graduates from High Tech High Media Arts go to college! In order to get there, the class of 2017 hopes to tour California colleges this Spring. Such an opportunity will help us experience the many options available and find the best academic and economic fit.
In March we hope to visit 10 colleges out of area in a week. In the past such experiences have led to our students earning admissions to all colleges in the University of California and the Cal State system, in addition to many private colleges.
Our public charter school draws from all of San Diego, so we are diverse. Nearly 60% of us will be the first generation in our families to attend college. Also, over half of our students qualify as economically disadvantaged.
We want to include all of our class, 100 students, in this experience, regardless of their ability to contribute financially.
Either all of us go, or none of us go.
We have collected contributions from our families and received a substantial anonymous donation to help support some of our low income families. We only need to raise $7,500 to fulfill our goal.
We hope that you—parents, families and friends—will support our goals to go to college and contribute to help make this dream real.
