Medical Support for Roger Kirkman
Donation protected
On Dec. 23rd, Roger had an accident which caused him to trip and hit his head on the arm of a wooden chair. All the force and trauma hit his eye and fractured the socket 50%. His eye split in half. He was rushed to IMC for emergency surgery, they originally planned to install a plate to repair the socket, instead he received 50 stitches in his eye, but the trauma was too great to install a plate. They will look at possibly working on that in 6 weeks or so.
There's a 1% chance he will regain vision in his right eye.
We're hoping his depth perception can be saved but it's hard to tell at this point. He'll probably be out of work for awhile.
As many of you know, Roger is an extremely humble man, a hard worker with two jobs to support his family of six children, one is special needs and two of them are serving missions at this time. His son, Zac, is serving in Chile and his daughter, Misty, is serving in Texas.
If you can donate towards his medical bills, we would really appreciate it.
From our family, we're wishing everyone a happy holiday. Thanks for all the love and support you all have shown us.
Love,
The Kirkman Family
