HTe 2nd Grade Pacific Pocket Mouse

Donation protected
Our children attend High Tech Elementary in San Diego, CA.   We learned today that $1,000  was stolen from the 2nd grade classroom,  money they worked really hard to raise for endangered species.  Many families donated cash and checks to the cause and now it's all gone.

Any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated!  These kids deserve to see the fruits of their work.  Thank you so much in advance if you are able to support these kids!

A letter that went home to the entire student body is below:

"Last night at our beautiful Exhibition, our second graders sold hand-made note cards as a fundraiser to help protect the Pacific Pocket Mouse, an endangered species indigenous to California.  I am saddened to tell you that the money that was raised, which totaled more than $1000, was discovered missing sometime during the school day today. The money was in a glass jar, in a closed cabinet, in a second grade classroom.

We have communicated this upsetting loss to our student community and plan to discuss ways to support our second grade team in their cause.

Thank you for your understanding and support."
