Aoife Hickey was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in October 2024

and received a bone marrow transplant on July 22nd 2025, the day before her 40th birthday,

Aoife is now in recovery and doing well but has a long road ahead of her before she can get back to doing normal things, we are trying to raise some much needed funds for Aoife and her family (4 children aged between 5 and 19) to help relieve the stress of Christmas, we all know how stressful it can be try and provide for the cost of the Christmas presents etc, when you are out of work for as long as Aoife and the cost of medications hospital visits etc, it becomes a lot more difficult,

we are holding a fundraiser in The Village Inn, Castlejordan, Co. Meath, on the 19th of December if anyone would like to donate here or in person on night all amounts will be greatly appreciated however big or small,
