Lanston & Raquel Kidney Transplant Fundraiser

Hi my name is Alyvia and I am starting this fundraiser for my parents Lanston and Raquel Sylvester. My dad has a condition called Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis known as (FSGS) it is a rare type of kidney disease that causes scarring in the filters of the kidneys. He’s had this disease for years and over time it reduces function of the kidneys. My dad’s kidneys currently function at less than 15% and require a transplant. When it was confirmed that he would need a transplant my mom decided that she would be a living donor to basically place him at the top of the list. She would donate her kidney to a stranger and my dad would receive a kidney from a stranger. After months and months of testing it turns out my mom was a perfect match for my dad! Their surgery is taking place on January 29th 2024. They will both be out of work for at least 12 weeks and the procedure and medicines requires following are very expensive. We would immensely appreciate your support during this process. We have definitely seen God’s hand throughout this entire process from the condition that my dad has been in; he still looks healthy, no physical manifestations of sickness, no dialysis and the fact that my mom happens to be a perfect match feels ordained. We are trusting that the outcome is in God’s hands and both will make it out of surgery just fine!
