Most of you are very familiar with Daisy Mae. We have all witnessed, for the past 12+ years, the incredible relationship that she shares with her daddy Geoff. Rarely have I seen a love shared like the bond between these two. There is nothing that either wouldn't do for the other.
I know for a fact that there is probably almost nothing that Geoff wouldn't do for any of his friends either. How many hours has he spent working on cars for Ding Dongs and Mt. Dew or driving his trailer to the middle of no where to save someone from the side of the road? Heck he'd probably do the same for most strangers.
Well the time has come for us to return those favors. Daisy has cancer, and there is nothing Geoff could do but provide her the best possible treatment, which is chemotherapy once a week. As you can imagine, this is unbelieveably expensive. Geoff has found an incredible Vet who has given him hope, but his options are running out.
The first round of treatments worked, and Daisy was in remission for six weeks, but then this nasty disease came back. They tried a second alternative treatment, but it did not work and the cancer has now entered into Daisy's bloodstream. The Vet has determined another new agressive treatment, but it is even more expensive than the others. The first two treatments in this six week series were $1200 alone!
Geoff would never ask any one of us for help, which is why I am setting up this site. I believe there are more people out there just like me that love and adore Daisy... oh and kinda like Geoff too. ;-) I know that I want to help, and I believe there are other people out there who want to help as well. So whether you have $5 to spare or $50, every dollar helps and 100% of the money raised will go towards helping get Miss Daisy get better again. I imagine there will be no words for Geoff to express how much any type of support would mean to him.
There is just no doubt in his mind that these treatments will go on as long as he can provide them. It's simple... it's Daisy. Need I say more? So help if you can or send good thoughts their way. Either way, both will be appreciated!!
