Rally for Curtis - Brain Surgery

This is Curtis and this is our family. This past month has been a rollercoaster for us. It started in June when he had a seizure while he was sleeping, and has just been a whirlwind since then. He had a cyst in his ventricle system in his brain that was blocking his spinal fluid from draining, and this caused him to have hydrocephalus. Luckily the seizure allowed them to find the cyst before it was too late! They told us they weren't sure what caused the seizure, but we were blessed it happened, because with the pressure of the hydrocephalus he could have went to sleep and never woke up.

He got the surgery to have the cyst removed and we were in the hospital for 2 weeks! He was sent home to recover, and unfortunately we were back two days later. This time he had Meningitis, and we spent another week in the hospital. After spending a few days in a hotel, here we are a month later going home finally. Now besides the 4 weeks of antibiotics, healing and rehabilitation ahead of us, we have a whole other challenge to face!

With Curtis being out of work for a month now, and me having to care for both him and our 3 kids, it's been hard to keep with everything monitarily! We have bills that are backed up, storage that needs to be paid, rent that is due, and school right around the corner. With the hospital bill and everything else, things feel so impossible right now. I am reaching out to our community for help through this tough time. I don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for my family, friends, and peers who have helped us and prayed for us during this time.
