I am Simon Wood and I am raising money on behalf of The Horsdean Community Sports Association (HCSA) to help maintain and improve Horsdean Recreation Ground.

The HCSA is a group of 3 cricket clubs, Brighton & Hove Crescent, St Matthias and Dome Mission and a junior football club Patcham United. We provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play both competitive and friendly sports in this popular local facility. We have a 25 year lease on the ground and are solely responsible for maintaining the ground and the pavilion. Brighton Council’s only responsibility is to cut the outfield.

As part of our ongoing maintenance programme we are having a big tidy up weekend on 12th and 13th April when from 10am each day as many of our members will be cleaning, painting, litter picking and generally cutting back the undergrowth.

We have very limited funds and we would appreciate any small donation to help fund our mission to improve and maintain the space that we all love.

Any sums of money raised will be put towards, paint and paint brushes and rollers and tools for the up keep of the green spaces, trees and bushes as well as additional planting.
