Support Jennifer's Journey to Recovery

On May 9, 2024, our wonderful friend, Jennifer was hit with a triple whammy, just days before Mother's Day and her birthday. That day, she was involved in a car accident which landed Jen in the ER. In the ER a CT scan was done to check for internal injuries. That accident and the CT scan turned Jennifer’s world inside out. The scan showed that Jennifer had colon cancer. As if finding colon cancer wasn’t enough, during that ER visit Jen also learned she was Diabetic.

Just three days before the accident and all that came after, Jennifer had begun a new job. This followed several months of job hunting, following a workplace injury at her previous place of employment.

Jen has always been very private about everything, never asking for anything. Only revealing to friends and family what she has been going through for the last few months on the eve of the surgery to remove the cancer. So far, her prognosis is hopeful.

Financially, this is will be a mountain to climb for Jennifer. She has always been involved in community organizations, volunteering her time tirelessly. Jen has served our school system, and multiple other organizations - helping others. She would (and has) given the shirt off her back for others. Now she is in need of our love and support.

That brings us to the reason for this Go Fund Me. If you know Jennifer, know she would never ask for help and I have fought with her to get her to agree to this Go Fund Me. Now is the time to help. If you can donate money, your generosity would be so very much appreciated. If you’re a friend or neighbor and you’re not in a position to help financially, perhaps reach out to Jen to help in other ways. Offer transportation. Bring by some diabetic friendly meals, or run a few errands for her. If you’re a close friend, maybe just a visit or listening ear.
