Fellow Followers of ¡Bucho! And DFG,
It has been brought up to our attention here at Durden Food Group that our ¡Bucho! Logo has been confused to whom it was created by. Regina Morales @helloreg is the curator and creator of our logo for our concept ¡Bucho! Regina Morales is a respected artist of the San Antonio Art Community and created our logo to look similar to Chicano Posters from the 1960’s and 1970’s. We have recently received a “cease and desist” letter from a lawyer in Austin representing Cruz Ortiz Art threatening to sue our food group members for “confusing and misleading” people to think Cruz Ortiz endorses our food group and/or food concept ¡Bucho! To Clarify, Durden Food Group and/or ¡Bucho! has ABSOLUTELY NO affiliation with Cruz Ortiz, Snake Hawk Press and/or Burnt Nopal. Our logos have NEVER been mistaken to be the work of Cruz Ortiz other than by Ortiz himself. Regina Morales was given proper credit to her logo made when we began using her art and now we have revised our logo to reflect, that it is in fact, made by local artist Regina Morales and so it may not to be “confused or misleading” to anyone!
