Funeral Costs

Gus Bowen "King of Auto Parts" passed away suddenly on the night of November 23, 2014. Gus was an amazing man who embodied the spirit of love and charity. He worked as an auto parts consultant for years and was known to many in the Manassas community. Gus earned a reputation as a caring, kind soul who would always take the time to talk to his several loyal customers and go above and beyond to help them find the best solutions. People would happily wait in line to speak with him; they valued his extensive knowledge almost as much as his jokes. With his attentive manner and quick smile, Gus became a local icon serving generations of locals. Even more important than his career, Gus was a dedicated family man. He leaves behind a loving wife, daughter, and teenage son, as well as a small legion of adoring nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Despite the technical relations, most of these children simply called him "Dad" or "Poppa." He treated everyone he knew with so much love and kindness and especially enjoyed spoiling his babies. Gus was the kind of man who believed in helping others. He would be the first to pull out his wallet when hearing about someone in need. He gave and gave to so many over the years and now it’s our time. The Bowen family has many medical bills to pay on top of the funeral expenses. Please donate what you can.
