OUR STORY:

Paula and Madeline are young entrepreneurs who each have a unique history of founding successful businesses. By trade, Madeline is a yacht captain, and Paula, a passionate journalist. By heart, they are both world travelers who have always dreamt of opening a hostel in the US. Over the past 6 months, they've worked together to visit hostels, motels, and B&Bs across the US, interviewing over a dozen hostel owners on the do’s and don’ts of operating. Now, they have finally found the perfect location.

OUR DREAM LOCATION:

Located just 25 minutes outside of Asheville, NC, sits the 3B's Bed Breakfast and Biscuits on a sprawling 5 acres of land with a freshwater pond. The property features a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house, a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage, a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment over a 2 car garage, and an 8 room motel — all of which are waterfront real estate providing views of the freshwater, spring fed pond on site.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL:

In order to secure this location for our hostel, we'll need to submit an offer with a competitive down payment. We're putting in every last dollar we have, but we need your help to make this vision come to life! We're crowdfunding an additional $25,000 to add to our down payment. Every dollar brings us a step closer to opening our doors and welcoming travelers from around the world!

OUR STRATEGY:

The potential in the 3B’s we see as two fold— the real estate purchase, as well as the potential to build on the existing business and expand to an even wider market. The 3 B’s presently offers only private room accommodations, and upon assuming ownership, we would convert at least three of the units into bunk rooms for budget travelers who prefer a shared accommodation. The present owners also cater exclusively to people traveling with their dogs. We would expand on this, maintaining the niche of people traveling with their dogs but welcome backpackers with or without dogs to the hostel as well, in addition to group retreats and book outs.

In 2023 the U.S. hostel market is estimated to be $4.6 billion

By 2033 it the U.S. hostel market is estimated to be $12 billion
