On Sunday, May 15, Reed was in a bicycling accident that caused significant head trauma. He was taken to the hospital, he was flown to Boise and underwent brain surgery. One week later, Reed has seen considerable improvement and has begun healing at an impressive rate, but he still has a long road ahead. In hospitals, at home, a lot of time where he is unable to do some of the things he loves the most. For more details, check out the Caring Bridge website .

These funds will go towards medical expenses while Reed recovers and will help with the time that he will likely not be able to work as a river guide.
