Hello everyone I am Jayden's mum.
I am reaching out to hopefully make my boy's wish come true, and improve his quality of life.
Jayden is our 9 year old boy, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in January 2021.
He was extremely brave and it was a long hard fight to overcome this insidious condition. After many hospital stays, and 2 years 8 months of treatment, he has been given the all clear by the wonderful medical team at PCH. Jayden is off treatment now but still needs long term monitoring including monthly bloods and check ups.
Because of all the chemotherapy drugs, Jayden now suffers from muscle and bone pain, amongst other neurological problems.
Jayden loved swimming prior to his diagnosis but wasn't allowed to swim during treatment because of the possibility of infection as he was severely immuno compromised.
Jayden would love to be able to swim in a nice warm spa or swim spa to help build up his wasted muscles and hopefully help ease some of his ongoing persistant aches and pains.
A hydrotherapy spa would also give him a special place to relax and feel "normal" as it would be at home and not in a medical or rehabilitation environment.
His wish is to get a spa! We have had contact with make a wish foundation but unfortunately they can't provide funding towards a spa. We would love to make this wish come true for him so I am reaching for your support.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could consider helping us put together some of the funds needed to get Jayden his spa, it would be of enormous benefit to our little man in his long term recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Jayden's Leukaemia journey and consider helping us fulfil his wish.
