Hello, and thank you for visiting our page.
On March 17, 2026, our dear friend Don Johnson suffered an ischemic stroke. He was first taken by ambulance to Herrin Hospital and then airlifted to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he is currently receiving care.
Don has already begun showing signs of progress, and we are hopeful that in the coming weeks he will be transferred back to Herrin Hospital to continue his recovery in a rehabilitation facility. At this time, Don remains nonverbal but is able to communicate through yes and no responses. He is eating, can move his arms, and has even taken a few steps—small victories that give us so much hope.
Don is a hairstylist by profession and is self-employed. Many know him not just for his talent, but for his kindness, compassion, and the genuine care he shows every client who sits in his chair. He has touched so many lives through his work and his friendship.
As Don focuses on healing, we are asking for support to help cover both current and future financial commitments. With the timeline for recovery still unknown, any contribution will help ease the burden during this difficult time.
Don is surrounded by a loving family and close friends who are standing by his side every step of the way.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, encouragement, and prayers. Every donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated.
Please continue to keep Don in your thoughts and prayers as he continues on this journey to recovery. If you’re unable to give at this time, we kindly ask that you share this page to help us reach others.
Thank you
