Hello,
My name is Taylor and this summer I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Grade 2B at the age of 33. This was quite the shock as I'm much younger than your recommended age of receiving your first mammogram and half the age of most Breast Cancer patients.
I started my first chemotherapy treatment on August 14th, 2025. I have a really great support system around me, and cannot state enough how grateful I am to those who have been by my side. And yet, it truly has been a very difficult physical, emotional, and financial journey. I have already missed work for treatments, and the mounting financial pressure is not lost on me as I look ahead.
I have a really long road ahead; chemotherapy, a mastectomy of my right breast, physical therapy, daily radiation therapy, and then reconstruction therapy. In all, I will have nearly two years of treatment ahead of me.
Believe it or not but cancer is really expensive! Missed days of work, a special diet, preparing to take between 2 and 4 months off of work next year without FMLA available to me, and treatment itself is a lot to handle as a single person.
Please consider making a donation. Every little bit helps me with the mounting bills I am currently facing and future ones to come. This is truly a gift for myself, my pets, my friends, and all my loved ones.
If this is out of your wheelhouse I also have my venmo @Taylor_Kraai or a registry for household items:
Thank you
