Our family is overwhelmingly grateful for the amount of support, love, and prayers that we have received. We ask that you continue to pray and lift up Yesenia. Because there have been so many requests to help our family financially in this time, we have set up this page (if that is where your heart is leading you). THANK YOU for all you the prayers, love and outpouring of support towards our family in a difficult time. There are no words that can truly express our gratitude.Backstory: Yesenia was at her office on Tuesday, July 7th. She was alone, as she stayed late to catch up on some work. Husband, Paul, had lost his job almost a month prior, due to COVID-19. Yesenia has experienced migraine headaches for about 11 years and was having one on that day. Yesenia called her husband saying she was dizzy, disoriented and having numbness. Her husband and son headed to her office to attend to her. When they arrived they could not access the building and she could not come to the door. She attempted to crawl to the door but could not. They called 911. The fire department was able to gain access to the building and she was transferred by ambulance Loma Linda University Medical Center where the preformed many tests including a CT scan which revealed bleeding in her brain and a mass. Yesenia was diagnosed with a brain tumor and admitted to ICU. She had brain surgery on Friday, July 10th to debulk and extract a sample of the 3x3x3 cm tumor. Surgery went well and Yesenia is currently in ICU recovering. There is a long road ahead for her, but they are grateful for the surgery and progress made thus far and for the care of the hospital staff and doctors. The family is continuing to pray for a full recovery, benign tumor result and faith in God’s plan.
