Please help Samantha!

Hey, everyone.

 

My name is Jill Broadwater and one of my best good friends, Samantha Ash, has been in the hospital with Covid since last Saturday (September 4, 2021). That was eight days ago and she still is not well enough to go home.

 

She started feeling terrible about a week and a half before she went into the hospital and after being tested found out she had Covid. Her oxygen levels were fine but went downhill quickly and by the time the ambulance came to get her, she not only had the virus but Covid pneumonia too. Have mercy.

 

At this time, Samantha has no idea when she will be released from the hospital. Two days ago, her blood pressure was 76/60 and of course, doctors were concerned. She feels light-headed when she stands up and doctors ordered an echocardiogram to be sure there wasn't an infection (there isn't). The problem right now is that her oxygen levels are not high enough for her to go home even with her own oxygen tank. And believe me when I tell you that Samantha is ready to go home.

 

I have created this GoFundMe account for several reasons. First of all, Samantha has not received a paycheck in three weeks because she has missed work. She started a new job in May so she has no sick time and not working equals no pay. Secondly, I have no idea when she will be well enough to work again and of course, I know she has bills to pay. Thirdly, she also has no health insurance and although right now her focus is on getting healthy, she will have to deal with medical bills or trying to find assistance once she feels well enough. Lastly, Samantha needs our help. That's all there is to it. And I figure it is my responsibility to let her family and friends know of her situation and trust God to provide as only He can.

 

Samantha is at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest. Frankly, she was so sick last week that she is surprised that she is still with us. She is hungry (because hospital food is never good) and weak but thankful the pneumonia is gone and can't wait to go home. If you are able, please donate to this account so that Samantha can focus on getting well and not have to bear the extra burden of worrying about her finances during this difficult time. And pray for my best good friend. Write Samantha's name on your hand or put a sticky note in the bathroom with her name on it. But please remember to pray for her.
