Hi, I'm Janet Walcott from Birmingham. Funds will be going towards the rebuilding of homes & much needed everyday supplies in Chantilly, Sav-la-mar, Westmoreland. This area was hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, many lost everything, yet not much attention has been paid to this. My neice, her family & neighbours have suffered terribly and have been left homeless, with flood waters receding slowly, no electricity, no clean water & minimal medical aide, making life more difficult. As you can see in the photos most of her house was destroyed, leaving behind only the concrete veranda; that is now her only shelter, with the children. She had a separate bathroom which was also destroyed by falling trees. Two of her neighbour homes were also destroyed. They've been supporting each other during this tough time. They were also so welcoming on past visits to jamaica. Please support with any amount, to help them rebuild and sustain themselves. We are sending supplies of food and toiletries, but much more is needed to help the community. May God bless you and thank you so much for all of your help
