Hope for Molly

First, we want to thank all of you for your generous showing of love and support for Molly in the last 15-16 months starting with cards and visits when Tyler left. Then, with the unthinkable diagnosis of Inflammatory Breast Cancer, you showered her with a multitude of love including cards, gifts, food, multiple fund rasiers in the form of T-Shirts, Jerseys, Masks, donation jars and of course the amazing major fund raisers, Go Fund Me in October, the Giving Tree at Christmas time set up by her friends at work, and the Benefit at Fat Joe's in January. All of this allowed Molly to pay her bills: house payment, car payment, Insurance, house taxes, feeding her fur baby's including insulin for Bella, utilities and a few new "essentials" such as wigs.

As you all know last May Tyler left Molly after 17 years with no warning and left her with all of the bills and responsibilities of the life they had built together. Molly was doing the best she could to stay afloat while trying to piece her life back together. She found out on October 27th that she had Inflammatory Breast Cancer. A week later, she found out it was Stage 4 and that it had spread to her lymph nodes in several locations and her liver.

Recap since October-

Tyler started a new job in October, did not add her to his insurance resulting in Molly having to pay $873.00 per month for Cobra to keep her insurance current, $2000.00 deductable for 2020, another $2000.00 for 2021, and a hefty portion of the cost of the multiple medications needed. She began weekly chemo treatments at this time. Molly continued to work for FDL CO from home, which was during the Covid time when many people were working from home, however in January, the head of HR fired her, telling Molly that she could no longer approve her accommations, even though Molly's 2 direct supervisor's had approved them.

In January 2021 she had emergency surgery which left her in severe pain with drainage tubes and came home from the hospital with an additional 11 medications. This was a side effect caused by her extremely aggressive chemo treatment. In March Molly had surgery to perform a required mastectomy in order to give her the best chance at survival. She was given 2 weeks to heal and then started her long road of daily radiation. This caused severe burns, blisters, her skin to split open, among other things. Molly continued to get chemo treatments during this time and will continue these treatments for at least a year from diagnosis due to the aggressive nature of the rare cancer.

In May, Molly took out her 401K to pay bills. The money disappeared from her account before she could pay any bills, which was a real blow to her. It was even a bigger blow knowing that there was only one other person on her account who could have taken the money out. She begged Tyler to give it back but there was no response. She has since opened new accounts and is working on getting as many ties cut from him as she can.

Although Molly can never be cured due to the stage 4 diagnosis, she is responding well to treatment. There is a 37% survival rate 5 years after treatment and I know that Molls, with her strong will and German heritage and red hair, will be one of those 37%.

Although the generous donations kept her afloat for some time, as a family we have stepped in to assist with recent house, car, insurance, attorney fee's and other needs for every day living. At this time we are struggling to continue to assist financially and are once again asking for support for Molly. Molly was in a very dark place for much of this past year and a half and it is so good to see her coming out of that place and back into the world of hope and the ability to see a future ahead of her. She has a weakened immune system and long term lymphedema as a result of removal of the lymph nodes, but she is looking forward to a normal life again. If you, her friends and family, can help her out one more time, to get her through this next maybe 2 months, and to catch up with past bills, and to continue to keep her house, etc., paid, it will mean the difference between staying in her house or losing it. She has lost so much already. As her friend stated in her original Go Fund Me; "Anyone that knows Molly, knows she would do anything for anyone. She can light up a room and make anyone laugh". Any support is appreciated, it all helps, including continued prayers and to keep her in your thoughts. Again, she has a long road ahead of her, and she’s fighting like hell— and she WILL beat this.
