On December 26th, 2019 Jerzy Dziurka fell down the stairs causing a complete spinal chord Injury. He suffered major trauma in his neck resulting in major injuries and fractured bones to the C4 and C5 vertebrae. His severe injury has caused paralysis in his hands, torso, and legs. He is currently under observation in the Spine Unit at the Vancouver General Hospital. Jerzy is the husband of Agnieszka Marzena Dziurka and loving and caring father to his two children, Patrick (26) and Veronica (19). The purpose of the fund is to help Jerzy and his family pay off medical expenses (equipment, care, housing), treatments, and long term aggressive rehabilitation towards recovery.
