Hello! I’m setting this up on behalf of my partner Justina Sgorbissa! Justina’s surgery date just got moved up! Here’s a little bit more about them!

“Hey my name is Justina (J Dawg, dinkmasterflex, Whitney Houston) those are some of my common nicknames… I’m raising funds for my top surgery that is scheduled for the first week of May!!! Woohooo!!! Over the last few years I’ve been diving into me and the truth of how I feel inside. Which has landed me in this beautifully strange boat of in between. Learning the discomforts I feel not solely identifying as a “female” but knowing I’m definitely not a “male.”

As a non-binary person (they/them) this surgery is an important step in aligning my physical body with my true self. Top surgery is reaffirming the inside parts of me that feel the most comfortable, knowing I won’t have to navigate which shirt can I wear that’ll hide my boobs the best.

After I moved across the country I knew that would take me off the waitlist I was on to receive Top Surgery in NYC. I had to choose me and take this step which has led to me finding an incredible surgeon here in Boise. Originally, I had my consultation scheduled for May with the intention of having this surgery around July. However, due to cancellations they were able to move my consultation up to this past week. My surgery will now be happening in early May.

While I’m excited to take this step, there are significant costs that my insurance will not cover. A few of these things are surgery-related expenses and necessary aftercare products for a smooth recovery. Additionally, I will have to take time off of work to allow my body to properly rest.

The funds I’m raising will go toward these out-of-pocket costs, allowing me to focus on healing without worrying about the financial burden. Any support you can offer—whether big or small—will make a world of difference in helping me get closer to the body I’ve always felt was truly mine.
