Hi, my name is Amy. My husband and I were traveling today from Southern California Home to Nevada. We stopped for gas and found this young dog with an injury to his leg / hip . He’s also very malnourished. I attempted to take him to the only vet in the town that I found him at. They were not willing to help him. Their only suggestion was to take it to animal control. They shared with me they don’t typically treat injuries. Euthanasia is the typical outcome. I had them scan him. He does not have a chip. He’s very mild mannered very sweet boy, but he is hurt and need some help. I could not leave him there in that condition. A local vet where I live will see him and gave me an estimated amount of care. It’s looking like $700 to get started . Please help if you can save this sweet boy . Then, to find him the best home full of love !

UPDATE- Rocket NEEDS surgery . The vet would like to try to change the joint structure to kind of have a floating leg vs. amputation. He has good muscle mass . But, this baby is in pain . The surgery and aftercare is looking like $3500-4000. Please help me help this seeet boy .
