Coach Dearth’s son’s funeral expenses

The funeral service will be Saturday 9/9/23 at Conway Baptist Church with burial to follow at Palm Memorial Gardens in Pharr

One of our Sharyland High School family members received the most devastating phone call any parent can receive…. That her son, Kyle, had died. Kyle graduated from Sharyland in 2022. 

Kyle’s mom, Coach Melissa Dearth is a long time beloved track and cross country coach, science teacher and mentor to so many in the Sharyland community. 

She is at campus nearly everyday before sunrise, even in the summer months, for the XC girls to get ready for their long runs and workouts.

She takes pride in her teaching and her coaching and pours herself into her community all year long, for the past 20 years. Now it’s time for us, her community, to step in and help with the unimaginable expenses involved in bringing her son’s body home for a proper memorial.
