Hi everyone! I’m setting up this fundraiser to help out an amazing family that’s struggling. Mike is an accomplished Chef, a wonderful husband and father, and loyal friend. He was the main provider for his family which includes his wife Katherine and their children, Graham (7) Isla (5) Vivienne (3) and his daughter, Kaitlin (16).
Mike has been living with chronic pain for 10+ years due to his line of work and the position of his arms, neck, and back while working-constant stress on his body. After many years of treatments and consultations he was given a diagnosis of an immediate need for a back and neck fusion surgery. Since the initial surgery March 18th he has been in and out of the hospital for several complications and his quality of life has drastically declined. He’s currently scheduled for a sixth surgery and has been unable to work, or provide anything for his family during this time and won’t be for the foreseeable future.
He was hired by what he thought was his forever job over the summer and worked endlessly to make it successful and thrive to what it is today. Unfortunately he was u let go with no unemployment benefits eight days after his initial surgery. They have been without his income since he was let go mid March.
The money raised will help pay only basic living needs such as insurance(s), car payments, utilities, housing bills, uncovered medical expenses, and everyday living needs.
I know this family will be so thankful for anything that is given as a support as they always try to give back to others when in need.
