Henslee Rose went into the hospital with a 104 temp and was too quickly sent home, returning the next day with a golf ball size growth on her left side neck we were sent to OU Children's to be seen by a specialist. After putting in drain tubes and by the second surgery we still had fevers and sickness and a smaller but still evident growth. We had hopes of going home and ended up regressing. After many visits with doctors and the infectious disease doctors, it was decided there may be something deeper then just the main infection growth; the second ultra sound we found that she had a clot in her jugular that was full of infection/bacteria, diagnosed as Lemeirres Disease. Upon consultation, it was decided, that in a perfect world we will have to take 2 shots daily for a minimum of 6 weeks, which is very likely to change. At this time we are patiently awaiting lab results and further scans to find out what else we have to do.
