On July 15 My mother (Karina) was hiking with my uncle at Big Falls in Las Vegas, NV. My uncle and mother were taking photos next to a cavern made of ice. When she went to take a photo just under the cavern, it suddenly collapsed. My uncle frantically searched to dig her out. With the help of other hikers it took him 15-20 min to dig her out before it fully collapsed.
Thankfully two nurses who were hiking and many more gracious people, they were able to care my mother out of the rubble. Paramedics arrived on site to help with Hypothermia, a helicopter had to air lift her to the base of the mountain. From there the paramedic then took her to the nearest emergency trauma center.
She has a fracture on her spine, broken ribs, lacerated liver, abdominal hernia, dislocated shoulder and elbow. Serious bruising and swelling.
She is a single mother of three with me being the oldest. She takes care of of my two younger sibling while having a full time career.
Any help will be appreciated and will help with medical bills and a long recovery.
