Hi, my name is Dawn.

As some of you know, I was laid off from a 1 year contract project in April that was supposed to have gone until June and then been renewed (as it usually was for my creative agency and Amazon). Well that didn't happen due to the massive layoffs Amazon did that month and earlier in the year.

I immediately started applying for jobs and I'm on unemployment (but as you may or may not know, unemployment alone isn't enough to cover rent and bills. It's only 1800 a month w/o taxes being taken out and my rent is 1925). I had picked up a 4 week contract job late April that ended mid May that helped me cover rent and bills for May and June and this month, but all of that money has now run out and I'm strictly on unemployment w/o additional funds to help moving forward.

I've put in almost 300 applications so far (not exaggerating) with not very many interviews as it's incredibly competitive right now with everyone looking for work and not a lot of roles for my industry going up as often (I'm currently in an interview process that may take weeks and was also submitted by a recruiter at my agency for another role today ).

What that being said, in an effort to cover myself until I can land a job, which I've been working SO hard and diligently at trying to get, I need to do a Go Fund Me to help me keep my apartment and pay my bills until that can happen. (I was really hoping to get an offer from SOMEONE by the end of this month so I wouldn't have to do that, but it's not looking likely at this point).

Asking for help is humiliating for me, and here I am, asking for help as a last resort. If you can help at all, please share and/or donate, it would mean more than anything to me right now.
