Piper's Surgery
Anyone who knows me understands how difficult it is for me to ask for help. Most people also know that I'm a pretty private person, which makes explaining my situation even harder. Some of you may just know me as Les and Jeannell's son. I was medically retired from the military a few months ago and have also had a registered service dog for quite a while. She helps me with anxiety and other symptoms stemming from PTSD. She was hit by a car a few days ago and has been in the hospital since then. She fractured several places around her face and head and shattered her pelvis. I was finally able to find a surgeon in Texarkana that was willing to accept her. I am willing to do anything to save her and have already committed just over $1000 in hospital stays and emergency care. Her surgery and after care is estimated to cost an additional $4000. Piper is much more than just a dog or a pet to me. I rely on her every day for help. If you feel like you're able to donate towards her care, or even just able to offer up a prayer for a quick recovery, it would all be greatly appreciated. Her doctor is Gary Old, DVM, in Texarkana, TX. Piper is registered with the United States Service Dog Registry which can be found at https://www.usservicedogregistry.org/lookup.php. Her registration number is 1474986799. You can search for our information by that number or by my first and last name (Adam Johnson) along with Piper's name. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
