Hey friends, my wife was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in 2020, it’s a rare salivary gland cancer that travels through the nervous system attacking the main organs. Her first surgery was in November of 2020 about three weeks after her diagnosis removing the tumor in her pallet, that was followed by 27 rounds of radiation. Shortly after the cancer traveled to her skull, did radiation for that, then the cancer traveled to both her lungs, had surgery and radiation for that, then the cancer traveled to her liver, had a couple of Y90 surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy for that. The cancer is no longer responding to chemotherapy, not only did new tumors develop, but the cancer cells have mutated into one big tumor making it difficult to treat and surgery is no longer an option. During the fourth and most recent round of chemo the doctors decided to stop the chemo. In 2024 she was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s which is also rare for someone in their mid forties. Our only other option at the moment is a three week treatment in Mexico at a place called Hope4Cancer. Insurance doesn’t cover that, City of Hope has done pretty much all they could to no avail, her pain is now 100% of the time. The treatment is over $50,000 and we are trying to raise $40,000.
Thank you in advance for any help sent our way, from my wife, our daughters and I, God Bless.
