Paige & Brent's Cancer Fund

Sometime when it rains, it pours! Growing up, my best friend and cousin was Paige. She is one of those people that you can be downright real with and you know when you see her in 10 years, your friendship will not have changed. Most of my childhood has been shaped by our relationship, which is why I couldn't pass up the opportunity to help her out!
Like many of us, their family has faced numerous challenges in recent years with a job/business loss, major career changes, a move to Canada from California (terrible right? ;) and rebuilding from the ashes. They have worked hard and rebuilt everything from the ground up with hard work and sacrifice. They have literally built their home with their own hands over the last 2 years and still have much of it uncompleted. Unfortunately, after this week's setback they will have to put it on hold indefinitely.
Sometimes trials don't let up! Last week, Brent (Paige's husband) tore his hamstring muscle (most likely completely severed it) and will be out of work for 2-4 or more months--possibly indefinitely as it heals. Then, Paige was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 days later. She is scheduled to have surgery this coming week and due to Canada's socialist system will have to wait on reconstruction for 2 years! She has 4 children at home and works as a school counselor.
Since they are in Canada, their medical expenses will be covered, but will most definitely need help with living expenses while they are out healing for the next several months since disability will only cover a portion of their lost wages.
This family, like so many, has worked so hard to rebuild from the economic disaster of 2008. Please help them continue their upswing and lift their spirits by donating whatever you feel inspired to give!
