Support Ryan's Journey to Full Recovery

Hi, we’re Brandon and Stephanie Caruso, and we’re reaching out on behalf of our family with full hearts and unshakable faith. We’re organizing this fundraiser for someone who means the world to us—Ryan Miarecki, our brother-in-law, brother, and uncle to our kids. Ryan is going through a difficult chapter right now, but we believe with all our hearts that God’s testimony in his life is going to be powerful.

Ryan is 40 years old, a loving husband to his wife, Rachael, and an incredible dad to their sweet 3-year-old son, Henry (who will be 4 in December). For almost 20 years, Ryan has poured his hard work and dedication into his job as a union painter in Chicago. His passion for his work and his devotion to his family have always defined who he is—a man of integrity, strength, and love.

A Life-Altering Diagnosis

Earlier this year, Ryan experienced a sudden heart attack. It was a shock to all of us, especially considering how healthy and strong he appeared. But with God’s grace, he recovered and returned to work. Just days into his first week back, however, Ryan suffered a second heart attack. That’s when we learned about his rare heart condition—Desmoplakin Cardiomyopathy (DSP).

Despite the challenges this diagnosis has brought, we firmly believe that this is just one chapter in Ryan’s story, and God will see him through to full recovery. Ryan has had a defibrillator implanted, and while he’s focusing on healing, he has taken time away from his work. Although this is a difficult time, Ryan’s spirit is strong, and our faith in God’s plan is unshaken.

How You Can Help

This GoFundMe is a way for us—his family, friends, and community—to stand together and support Ryan, Rachael, and Henry as they focus on health and healing. Our goal is to provide them with the financial stability they need to cover living expenses, medical costs, and daily needs for the next year. We want them to have the time and space to focus on recovery, without the added stress of financial concerns.
