UPDATE: Cory had his appointment with the ENT today, and he received incredible news the he will not need surgery. Not yet, anyway. He did learn that nearly every bone in his face suffered a fracture to some degree and most are healing well, though he will have a follow up in three weeks to make the final determination (hopefully).
We are beyond grateful for all of the support we’ve received thus far and are hoping for one final push to really help him get through these missed weeks of work and impending medical and monthly bills.
My brother, Cory, was involved in a single vehicle accident last week which resulted in significant facial injuries which will require surgery. He has a long journey of both mental and physical healing ahead of him, and like a true Smith, he hates to admit he needs help. While our family will do everything we can for him, the fact is, he will need help financially so that he is able to focus on himself and his two incredible children.
Please help us in anyway you are able. All donations will go to medical and other monthly bills.
“I was lucky enough to have been to rock bottom before, right? So I know, for a fact, that rock bottom always the beginning of the newness. It hurts and it’s painful, and then there’s the waiting - where you don’t know what the hell is going on and you don’t think any of it is going to make sense and then, there’s the rising.”
