Desperately trying to avoid eviction!

Dear friends,

I am requesting help for my son and myself so that we can avoid eviction and the loss of our utilities.

We have NO support from family and we have no where else to turn for help.

My son and I have been trying to find full time employment for many months now. This endeavor has had a lot of difficulties, that I never could have anticipated. I have never had problems finding a job before. I am told that this is a current problem for a lot of people today.

My son works now for $9.50/hour for at best 15 hours a week. He does not go to school, so working full-time is his main goal until he can figure out what he wants to focus on for a career. William does have a job interview tomorrow, July 18 which would supplement his PT earnings from his current job.

Fingers crossed he will get hired.

As for me, I am still constantly searching for job opportunities and not just the ones that I am qualified for, but for ANYTHING. So, if you know who is hiring, please share that information with me.

We are behind on every bill by at least 2-3 months, including rent. We are facing losing our utilities and our home. Without family to take us in, we would have to rely on the assistance of homeless shelters.

We have decided that we can do without trash service as we have some very understanding neighbors. We have also decided that we can live without hot water for a a time. The only thing that I am concerned of with this is how much I will have to pay to restore service from Kansas Gas.

We have been trying to utilize all community resources available and have received support from The Center of Hope. The Salvation Army is dried up before the month even begins, however.

Again, We have NO support from family and we have no where else to turn to for help.

We would be grateful for anything that you can contribute and if you can't contribute, we would also greatly appreciate you sharing this with your friends or family.
