My name is James Generalao, Jr and I am the driver of the Impatient AA Fuel Altered out of Las Vegas, NV. On March 6, 2016, I was competing at the March Meet in Bakersfield, CA and was involved in the worst racing accident of my 16 year nitro racing career. My car crashed into the K rail at 196 mph due to an unfortunate turn of events. I went airborn, rode the K rail, and the race car rolled, some say 5 times, before it came to a stop. I was transported to Kern Medical trauma unit due to the high speed impact of the crash for obeservation. Thanks to my safety gear/equipment and a quaility built race car, I was lucky to walk away with a few aches and pains.
Now back in Las Vegas, the assessment of damages are underway. My family and I are raising money to assist with anticipated medical expenses and the rebuild of my AA Fuel Altered. Due to the severity of the crash, 80% of the original race car is beyond repair. We can only hope with the support of fellow racing friends and fans that Impatient Racing can return in time for the NightFire Nationals in Boise, ID in Aug 2016, or make a come back at March Meet 2017.
The overwhelming social media support has motivated me to push through this devistation and try to get back in the driver's seat as soon as possible. Drag racing is my passion, and has been since I was a little kid. I am very thankful to have walked away from such a violent crash and would be forever greatful for the continous support and any future contributions.
