We LOVE Miss Emma & Team Turner!

Emma is the star player of Team Turner! She is our 10-year-old little girl. Funny, smart, caring, friendly, beautiful...the list goes on and on. Even when she had to go through brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor called medulloblastoma, none of those things changed. Even knowing she will have weeks of radiation and chemo, none of that changed. She is amazing in her positivity and finding the fun in every situation! We know that her tumor was aggressive and her treatments will need to be, too. That means we will stay in Norfolk, VA for long periods of time and possibly extending treatments to Washington, D.C. or even further. We know it will put strain on our whole "Team" and we appreciate your eagerness to help! Dad works to earn our only income and holds the insurance. Mom (that's me) is continuing breast cancer treatments during this time, too. Medical bills and other bills still pile up over these years because of all the ongoing treatments. Now we know it's only going to get harder. Many people have asked how they can help. We want to make things as easy as possible on our whole family (including brother, sister-in-law, and niece) while making sure that Emma feels the comforts of home while gone for treatment. We also want to keep things fun! We want to get her a computer to Skype with her friends and do her schoolwork. We also want to be able to take her to do activities around Norfolk in her downtime, including going to Starbucks which is one of her favorites! Everyone wants their children to be healthy, but if they can't, the least we want to do is make them feel happy. That's our goal. Thank you for helping to make that possible! We couldn't do it without you. We've definitely felt the love through the years from our community and I know Miss Emma is feeling it firsthand now and can see how special she really is!
