Help Tucker Get Life-Saving Treatment

When we adopted Tucker in 2016, I told him he was my dream come true. I always wanted a dachshund and this one crawled into our lives unexpectedly on a cold January day. Since then, he’s given us countless laughs, smiles, and his favorite of all: cuddles.

We noticed discomfort in him last weekend. A few days later, he was in urgent care with what we thought was an injury from playing too hard. Tonight (March 6), we took him to Penn Vet and learned he may have a slipped disc in his neck.

After an MRI, we have learned his inflammation is being caused by something else, most likely an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.

He is in one of the best vet hospitals in the country. But, giving him a chance to live his senior years happy and healthy comes with a hefty price tag.

Many of you have been greeted by and shared the immense and warm love of Tucker. Others of you may not have met him, but know that love from dogs of your own. Our ask of you is to help us give him the love and life he deserves by making a donation to help pay for his treatment and hospital visit.

100% of funds will pay for Tucker’s care and treatment. About half of the bill is the MRI alone. The rest covers a spinal tap, extensive testing, medicine to treat the pain and inflammation, and his care/stay at the hospital.
