Hi, I'm the uncle of Larry Jiménez, he is an arborist. On October 29th he was doing a tree job. He had an accident and the chainsaw he was using cut in to his arm. It was a gruesome site. He yelled for a tourniquet. His friend was at the base of the tree, once he repelled to the ground his friend started packing and dressing his wound.
They were hours away for the nearest hospital. If it wasn't for his friend Larry wouldn't be here today. Once the ambulance arrived they transported him to a location where a helicopter could land, pick him up and take him to a hospital.
Larry is in recovery, unable to move his hand and fingers. It is uncertain if he will have a full recovery. He will have months of recovery and therapy.
Larry will be out of work for unknown period of time. He and his wife have 3 children. The oldest in the 6th grade, another is 6, and the youngest 18 months.
