I adopted Hank in 2021 and he has been the best dog you could ever ask for. Last night, there was an accident at home and he broke both his tibia and fibula. I have to take him to an orthopedic veterinarian to consider the next steps. The options are pins or screws and amputation. These are both very pricey. I am currently going to school and working, so this is a huge setback for me. Anything you are able to give is greatly appreciated.

Edit 9/15/25: Hank will be having surgery tomorrow repair his leg tomorrow (9/16). The estimated cost of the procedure is $6000, however this only includes the procedure itself. I will also have to pay for follow up exams, x-rays, medications, etc. I have the utmost faith in his surgeon and hope that all will go smoothly.

Edit 9/17/25: Hank had his surgery yesterday and it went very well. He had two plates installed. The recovery period is roughly 2+ months. Very thankful for the staff at VCA in Portage for taking such good care of him.
