I am running for local supervisor because I believe I can make a difference for my community. I am running to represent and defend the rights of City workers, youth, working adults, and retirees that reside in my district. I am running to ensure that City Officials are held accountable for services and promises to the neighborhood. I want to make a difference in where I live and I work. I want to ensure economic growth, violence prevention programs, and housing issues that plague my District are dealt with effectively.
Why is he running now?
He is tired of same old politics… tired of business as usual. He resides on 24th Street. He is
raising a family in the Mission. He struggles with parking. He uses public transportation, hikes in
Bernal Hills and he takes his son to Precita Park for walks or to the playground. He is a local
artist and a strong supporter of the community art and murals in the area.
Growing up he had to deal with displacement, language barriers, racism, lack of economic and
education, issues of rent control, and police profiling. As an adult, he sees evictions, lack of job
opportunities, lack of respect for neighborhood traditions and culture. He worries for the
future of our youth, elders, professionals and families that live in District 9.
He is conscious of global and national issues. However, his focus is where he lives, his district,
and things that matter to folks here in the District. He is tired of seeing other districts in the
city dictating the local economy and the way we live.
Why am I asking for your monetary support?
For this campaign to be successful, it will require strong and organized grassroots organization. With lots of advertising to bring awareness of on issues, I cannot do it all alone. That’s why I am turning to the people that know me best, and inviting them to get involved in my campaign and help me make a difference.
Your contribution will give our race a tremendous boots. It will help me raise seed money to launch the campaign. Every little helps. I thank you in advance for your support for this great challenge.
