Greetings, all. My story and fundraiser is for my mother. She has lived a long and fruitful life, but in recent years she has fell upon very trying and stressful days. Unfortunately, her marriage to my father dissolved into what can only be described as a working relationship. Many things have been said, and worse things have been done to this woman, that were entirely undeserved. She raised her children. She put food on the table. When there wasn't enough food, she made sure we ate first. She did above and beyond what a mother and a wife, and a human being are expected of. All she has ever done throughout her entire life was put everyone else first, and I'm doing what I can to repay her.

As of June 2017, my father passed away. Among other things he left behind, my mother now faces foreclosure on her home of over 30 years.

I was initially weary of using one of these fundraiser sites, because I didn't feel as if it were realistic to ask for money from people whom I don't know, and expect to actually get the funding being asked for. But, despite the lack of compassion in so many areas in our society today, I do believe that there are still people who care for others, maybe more than some of us realize. The photo above is from happier times. I would like to give my mother a reason to smile again, and time is not on her side. In November of this year, 2020, my brother passed away. Another burden on my mother's shoulders. I understand this has been a challenging year for most of us in many ways, and I cannot expect every person to donate, but please do believe that sharing the link helps a lot. Peace and blessings.

Very recently, as of May this year 2023, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. It's a lot to deal with all at once, but now I may need help with medical bills and care. Worst case scenario, it's about making her comfortable at this point, but I will not give up on her. From betrayal, the death of her husband & son, medical illnesses, foreclosure, and now a place to stay. She is no longer economically self-sufficient and her medical expenses plus daily care, on top of outstanding balances due, require more than I am able to provide on my own. I am asking any support to help sustain her enough until the application for senior assistance is approved.
