Support Kristen's Fight Against Cancer

To know Kristen is to love her.

She is a single mom to 3 beautiful children; Gracie (20), Ruby (15), and Phoenyx (14). Kristen works full time at CHI Health Clinic in Omaha, NE.

She is a compassionate health care professional who has dedicated her life (and her heart!) to serving others. Now, she faces her own healthcare battle and she needs our help!

In July 2023, Kristen had hereditary cancer testing due to her family's cancer history. She came back BRCA2 positive, putting her at a dramatically high risk of developing breast, ovarian, pancreatic and skin cancers. Her lifetime risk of developing breast cancer was 84%.

With this knowledge (and those odds), Kristen incorporated more cancer screenings and met with several health care providers to discuss a preventive, bilateral mastectomy. This is a huge surgery and to prepare, Kristen began saving money and improving her own health to have the best outcomes with surgery.

In November of 2023, Kristen had her first breast MRI that was abnormal. She then had a biopsy that came back negative... whew, no cancer!

On April 5th, 2024 Kristen had a negative mammogram.

One month later, on May 10th, 2024 Kristen was getting ready for her 6 month breast MRI and felt a golf ball size mass in her breast. She then had the breast MRI, followed by an ultrasound and a biopsy.

Kristen has been diagnosed with stage 2B, triple negative breast cancer (grade 3), that has also spread to her lymph nodes. This is a fast growing and aggressive form of breast cancer. Kristen will undergo chemotherapy and a bilateral mastectomy.

All financial support will help Kristen and her children cover household and medical expenses so they can focus on Kristen's treatment.
