HOYA Foot Care Clinic
My name is Shalin, a member of the leadership team at the Georgetown University School of Medicine’s HOYA Foot Care Clinic (FCC). Founded in 2020, the FCC operates with the mission to provide essential foot care services to the underserved populations of Washington D.C., with a particular emphasis on aiding those experiencing homelessness. Our clinic is a direct response to the critical need for accessible, specialized foot care among the city’s most vulnerable groups, where such conditions are prevalent yet often overlooked.
The FCC is grounded in the Jesuit tradition of "cura personalis" — care for the whole person — reflecting our commitment not only to medical treatment but also to the dignity and well-being of those we serve. Our operations are driven by the principles of social justice and health equity, aiming to eliminate barriers to care for those in need.
For my birthday, I am seeking contributions to ensure the continuation of our services, including the purchase of medical supplies and the expansion of our reach within the community. Your donation will directly impact our ability to provide care and will support the clinic’s mission of serving those who are most in need. Thank you for your consideration!
