I adopted Howl 4 years ago from a kill shelter in Kingman, who transferred him to the Coconino Humane society(because they knew he was a good boy). When I adopted him I noticed a small red blob on his right eye. The shelter I adopted him from & my vet said it was likely from him being hit in the head (he was previously abused) and a blood vessel popping. A little over a year ago he had a procedure to remove the blob and take a biopsy of it. Everything after the surgery went well and he healed, until now. Now, my vet is recommending removing his eye due to the trauma. Another red blob came back just like the first one. I wish the veterinarian told me to remove his eye in the first place-but we know all know how doctors/health/surgeries all go. This surgery will help Howl by preventing him from getting cancer. He is my whole soul and the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. He has a lot of life to live and he saves me daily. If you wanna see Howl on Instagram his name is : howl_jp
