We met our Best Friends, Chris and Amanda Howell, and their awesome kids, Tavin, Brylin, and Kamdin, when we all moved to Sunset Resort in Quinlan, TX. We were all in a transition period of our lives and by the Grace of God, we found each other the night a tornado hit our campground. That started the beginning of a lifelong friendship. On May 29th, 2019, tornadoes ripped through Texas. Unfortunately, while Chris was working on the East Coast in the Oilfields and Amanda was at work, a tornado hit their newly purchased home in Winnsboro, TX. Thankfully, a storm shelter had been erected on the property and Amanda's sister, Ashlynn, was home to help get their three kids, herself, her daughter, and all but one of their animals into the safety of the shelter at the last minute. Their other dog, Axle, made it through as well. He was in his kennel in the house when the tornado hit. The damage to their home, which they had only lived in for 20 days, was devastating. They are just now finding out the extent of the damage the tornado caused. We are just thanking GOD for that storm shelter and keeping everyone safe. Material things are replaceable but lives are not. Chris has no vacation time from work and had to hop on a plane to come take care of his property and family. They both will be missing work and simply cannot afford that right now. They have a high deductible on insurance and the tornado ruined all of the food Amanda had just bought. Considering the moving expenses, the house purchase, and the work missed, this could not have happened at a worse time. I am hoping we can help alleviate some of their stress. The kids bikes were thrown into trees and their trampoline ended up half a mile away wrapped around a pole. Their horse barn is no longer standing, portions of their house are gone, their house has holes in the roof of every room, their furniture is soaked, their groceries are destroyed, and they are worried financially about how this is all going to play out. They could use some financial help right away.
Would you partner with us in providing them one less thing to worry about while they start the process of rebuilding? We are so grateful for each one of you. I love this family so much and hate they are going through this and I can't be out there helping them physically. I can help monetarily though and with the help of your contributions, this family can be back on their feet very soon.
