Life has been incredibly hard the past few years, but I’m still standing by faith, by sheer will, and by the hope that better days will come. I never imagined I would be in this place in my life. I never thought I would be starting a GoFundMe to help cover basic needs like our house payment, utilities, and groceries. Yet here I am. Not because I want to be, but because life has left me with no other choice.

At this stage in my life, I had envisioned something very different. I had hoped for peace, stability, and a sense of security. I wanted to live out the later years of my life surrounded by joy, comfort, and the fruits of many years of hard work. Nothing has been easy since July 2022, when my beloved was admitted to the ICU. Since then, it has felt like life has sent wave after wave of chaos. Each wave has crashed down on every part of my life. Financially. Personally. Professionally and almost spiritually. I have faced more losses and setbacks in these past three years than I ever thought possible. My world has been turned upside down in every possible way. Still, through it all, I remain standing. Not because I am strong on my own, but because I have leaned on my faith, and I have people who truly love me and my two kids! That is what keeps me going. Asking for help like this is one of the most humbling things I have ever done! It is not easy, but I am doing it anyway, because I know that sometimes, in order to keep moving forward, we need to lean on each other. I am reaching out because I need help to get through this summer. Just enough to keep our home, keep the lights on, and keep food on the table for my family.
