Horse racing has lost one of the greats. Yesterday afternoon, Howie was released from his earthly body and has moved on to greener pastures. We all now have an angel looking out for us, for the horses we love, and for all the animals who called him father and friend.

Howard was tough as nails on the backstretch with a heart of gold…always for the love of the horse.

Howard gave so much to racing, to family, and to friends. We’d like to use these funds to help give back in ways that are important to him. Racing will never be the same. The world will never be the same. But you can help carry on his legacy.

Howard was a true gentleman and a consummate horseman and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
